A Co-Mill, also known as a Conical Mill, The Co-Mill operates on the principle of size reduction and particle disintegration through the combined action of impellers and screen. It consists of a conical-shaped rotor or impeller that rotates inside a conical screen. The material to be processed is fed into the centre of the Co-Mill through a hopper.
As the rotor rotates at high speed, the material gets pulled towards the blades on the impeller, where it is subjected to mechanical forces. The particles collide with the impeller blades and the conical screen, resulting in size reduction and particle disintegration. The desired particle size is achieved by adjusting the rotor speed and the size of the holes in the screen.
